Annapurna Base camp trek, Everest Base camp trek, Poonhill trek, etc are also some to the best trekking places on Nepal.
Moreover, the remoteness, scenes of peaceful landscapes, and up-close experience of various Himalayan cultures make your journey even more exciting. The trail goes through the remarkable, traditional villages, beautiful rhododendrons and oak forests, and offers wonderful views of the magnificent Annapurna and Manaslu ranges.
Mardi Himal Trek Itinerary
On your arrival day in Kathmandu, Himalayan Trails Trekking & Climbing organizes an authentic Nepali welcome dinner with ethnic cultural program. During the event, you can get to know your guide up close, and can talk about your Mardi Himal trek in a more detailed manner. We explore the sights and sounds of World Heritage Sites in the Kathmandu valley before we drive or fly to the peaceful city of lakes, i.e. Pokhara.
You can interact with your guide before you fly or drive to Pokhara. Once you check into a designated hotel at Pokhara, you will explore around the Fewa Lake in the afternoon, and spend the night in the city. However, the next morning after breakfast, we drive about 30 minutes from Pokhara, and our adventure trek to Mardi Himal starts.
The trail starts up gradually through the rice fields and traditional cultural villages. You will make your way through the remote and less trekked high alpine settlement, and pine and oak forest, before finally reaching Pipa. The village will offer you the stunning views of high mountain ranges, including that of above 8,000 m peaks like Annapurna, Manaslu, Nilgiri, Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail), and so on.
Your trip to Mardi Himal Base Camp will be a joyous one through Thulo Kharka. And viewing the misty lower valley, paddy fields and a part of Pokhara valley will be a great experience. Consequently, you will get to enjoy the views of the spectacular lofty peaks of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna and summits in the terrific Manaslu range.
Once we reach our destination, we descend through the beautiful forests, making our way towards the upper Mardi Khola. Certainly, the white water of Mardi Khola is formed by the snow and ice of Mardi Himal. It is a new and untouched area, the tracks are not used as often as the commercial Annapurna trekking route. This holiday trip takes us through the farmlands, over bridges, warm valleys, and allows us to explore friendly people and traditional villages.
